I went into this race super motivated to do well. I've been feeling pretty good for a week now and I felt I had what it took to do well. It didn't take very long before we were all out going hard. Within 10 minutes, the field had broke in half. Everybody stalled on the back of the last lap and I thought it was an opportunity to jump away. I jumped hard, but the acceleration was far from what it needed to be. The only way to win that far away is if you get a good gap. No gap for me, so it turned into a good lead out for the team. Eric was able to capitalize for a 4th. Overall, I'm pleased with how strong and aggressive I was able to race. I'm happy to be back in the saddle. Think good thoughts for Fausto Munoz Esparza, he has had some bad misfortune.

Wow, an IF buster! Then again, perhaps your FTP is underestimated. If you do IF of 1.0+ in races regularly I would seriously look into testing your FTP again (at state TT?).
It was pretty hard. One of the harder cat 3 crits I've done. I will probably have to raise the FTP as the season progresses. State TT? Yuck!
Hey Clint it's Tyler. You gonna be at Sugarhouse Saturday?
Unfortunately, no. I have to attent my brothers wedding :( I'm going to miss one of the biggest Utah races. Very sad. I'll be at the State Championship RR the following weekend though!
'attend'
That's a bummer man. I have to take the ACT that saturday so I won't be there.
Are you planning on doing HUC this year?
Tyler
